Urban Primary Health Care Services Delivery Project (UPHCSDP)
Welcome to the official website of the Urban Primary Health Care Services Delivery Project (UPHCSDP). The project is an initiative of Government of Bangladesh under Local Government Division with the financial support of Asian Development Bank (ADB), Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The project delivers primary health care services to the urban poor through partnership with urban local bodies and Non-Government Organizations.
Starting 1998 through Urban Primary Health Care Project (1998-2005) and Second Urban Primary Health Care Project (2005-2011), the project has been proven as a successful innovative model and one of the largest Public Private Partnership interventions for urban PHC services in the South East Asia. At present, the project covers more than 10 million urban population of Bangladesh and has a PHC network of 25 Comprehensive Reproductive Health Care Centers, 138 Primary Health Care Centers and 276 Satellite Clinics at community level. The project also contributes to raising the standard of the PHC service for the urban poor, especially for mother and child health care.
The objective of the website is to provide information on basic structure, services and activities of the project. We hope that the website will help us to build up a strong linkage with our valuable stakeholders and clients.
